1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Nomscore (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Nomscore is a food tracking application that uses a simplified points system to help users monitor their eating habits. The App uses AI technology to estimate point values for foods you log.

3. Not Medical Advice

Nomscore is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. The points system is a simplified educational tool. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions, food allergies, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

4. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nomscore.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
Accounts are created only via Sign in with Apple. Using Nomscore requires an active auto-renewing subscription. Billing is handled entirely by Apple.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Nomscore offers an auto-renewing Premium subscription: $6.99/month or $69.99/year, each with a 7-day free trial. Prices may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings at any time. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Post offensive, harmful, or misleading content in groups
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code

All user-generated content must also comply with our Community Guidelines. You can report posts that violate these rules using the report menu on each post, and you can block any member at any time from Settings. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior: reported posts are reviewed promptly, hidden automatically after multiple reports, and removed when they violate these terms. Accounts responsible for objectionable content may be terminated without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code in Nomscore are owned by Nomscore or its licensors. You retain ownership of the data you provide (food logs, profile information).

8. Third-Party Services

Nomscore uses third-party services including the Anthropic Claude API for food analysis and Apple Sign In for authentication. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Nomscore is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of point calculations or AI-generated content. Food point values are estimates and may vary.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nomscore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from Settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
